  1. You can prise open a typical window lock in less than a minute and most common friction hinges can be prised open just quick. Wilmer windows only fit Saracen Secure, a turn of the handle and a deadlock secures the sash and two shoot bolts, which locate into keeps, secured the sash to the window frame. The shoot bolts are made from high strength brass alloy, making the sash almost impossible to prise open with the lock being insurance approved you can relax and be safe knowing that your installation by Wilmer Windows is fitted with the best security in mind.
  2. Handles lock automatically when closed and open at the press of a button for extra safety in the case of emergency. All of our products are installed with the glazing internally, this means the glazing beads are fitted internally ensuring the glass can’t be removed from the outside.
  3. The friction stays (hinges) are made of stainless steel which is of a very high-grade, when closed penetrate deep into end caps, these end caps are made from a material widely used in automotive industry, making the hinge almost impregnable compared to conventional type hinges.

Door Security

The Pioneer door-lock offers improved strength and corrosion resistance due to the high grade stainless steel face plate used manufactured in 430 grade stainless steel. The two adjustable rolling cams are also corrosion resistant and give a tight weather sealing on the locking side of the door. The rolling feature allows for light operation on the door handle due to less friction build up. The door-lock offers a one-piece keep for accurate alignment with the option to reset directly on site.

A unique feature of the Pioneer door-lock is the sash lifter. This innovative feature maintains the correct sash to frame alignment giving trouble free operation for the consumer.

The Pioneer door-lock has been tested to 100,000 full locking and unlocking cycles along with 240 hours salt spray testing achieved, the door-lock mechanism has a secured by design status,
